21:48:56  <mraleph>luite: yes sparse arrays are slower then non sparse. if you have array that is toooo big and empty then V8 will use hash table for it until it grows beyond certain occupation to save memory. this can have a large negative performance impact. prefer allocating small arrays and then growing.
