02:06:19  <Trott>I'm seeing the ppcle-ubuntu1404 host hanging for me too: https://ci.nodejs.org/job/node-test-commit-plinux/1869/nodes=ppcle-ubuntu1404/console
02:45:33  <jbergstroem>thealphanerd: i'd be very keen on getting this into 4.x as soon as possible: https://github.com/nodejs/node/pull/5921
02:49:12  <Trott>Step one is to land it on master, yeah?
02:52:25  <jbergstroem>yep, need to collect more LGTMs
02:54:18  <Trott>Technically, no. One is enough. But if it makes you feel more comfortable, then that's fair. I would LGTM it except that I don't really feel competent judging other people's Makefile changes.
02:54:53  <jbergstroem>i prefer some from the build crew if we're doing make stuff
02:55:01  <jbergstroem>and i don't trust that johan guy enough
02:55:08  <Trott>You can also do the "I'm going to land this in 24 hours if no one objects." comment if landing it with just one commit feels like too much of a table-flip move.
02:56:27  <Trott>You even @-mentioned nodejs/build and no one chimed in. That's cold.

23:29:55  <thealphanerd>yeah
23:29:58  <thealphanerd>just stopping
23:30:06  <thealphanerd>I think this happened to the first build evanlucas did too
23:30:14  <evanlucas>omg I losing my mind
23:30:20  <evanlucas>just had windows fail 3 times
23:30:31  <thealphanerd>evanlucas I had my entire build just stop
23:30:38  <thealphanerd>unless you accidentally killed it ಠ_ಠ
23:30:40  <thealphanerd>:D
23:30:43  <evanlucas>wait, that could have been me
23:30:47  <evanlucas>sorry :[
23:30:50  <thealphanerd>hehe
23:31:25  <evanlucas>yea, I'm pretty sure that was me...

23:32:20  <thealphanerd>evanlucas I just went
23:32:23  <thealphanerd>489
23:32:31  <jbergstroem>i can restart the windows servers?
23:32:50  <evanlucas>looks like windows is working this time
23:33:01  <thealphanerd>looks like arm went offlien in the proccess
23:33:08  <evanlucas>I think we were just both trying to go at the same time and I accidentally cancelled thealphanerd's build
23:33:17  <thealphanerd>https://ci-release.nodejs.org/computer/release-scaleway-debian7-arm-1/
23:33:26  <jbergstroem>update git version on windows machines perhaps
23:33:29  <rvagg>ouch
23:33:31  <rvagg>will fix
23:33:53  <jbergstroem>i can check
23:34:30  <thealphanerd>are we expecting smartos13 to no-op for v4?
23:34:45  <rvagg>thealphanerd: yes
23:34:48  <jbergstroem>back online
23:34:50  <thealphanerd>cool
23:34:54  <jbergstroem>thealphanerd: we use smartos14 for that
23:35:38  <thealphanerd>ok lets give this one more try!
23:35:59  <thealphanerd>@rvagg do we have documentation anywhere about exactly which platforms we support for which versions?
23:36:16  <jbergstroem>thealphanerd: that's a bit of work in progress
23:36:44  <jbergstroem>i think we mentioned trying to put together a 'official' list of supported versions and operating systems at our last meeting
23:37:06  <jbergstroem>haven't had time to look into it just yet
23:37:08  <rvagg>thealphanerd, evanlucas: on windows, when the builds are running, the linker takes _forever_ each time its invoked. If a build is cancelled for whatever reason while it's building then there's a good chance the linker will be still running and will have file locks and cause the kinds of problems you're seeing with removing old files, you need to wait a few
23:37:08  <rvagg>minutes between builds for windows
23:37:22  <thealphanerd>ahhhh
23:37:24  <evanlucas>yea
23:37:26  <thealphanerd>I probably just broke that right now
23:37:27  <thealphanerd>weeee
23:37:30  <evanlucas>lol
23:37:40  <thealphanerd>I cancelled everything
23:37:44  <thealphanerd>I'm going to gooutside

23:50:49  <thealphanerd>I started v4
23:50:53  <thealphanerd>I think you can go for it :P
23:55:55  <rvagg>evanlucas, thealphanerd: when you promote, *make sure you select your release and not one of the others that are in staging!* I'm not going to publish v0.10 and v0.12 just yet even though they'll both be built too , I have to be at a meeting in a moment
23:56:07  <thealphanerd>ok cool
23:56:08  <evanlucas>ok cool
23:56:10  <thealphanerd>thanks for the eheads up
