00:00:07  <jgi>jbergstroem: let me edit that gist that I wrote to make it clearer that Solaris users should not run smartos binaries
00:00:08  * jenkins-monitorjoined
00:04:42  <rvagg>sounds like something we need download numbers on, I could imagine the majority of smartos users using the packaged versions and not bothering with downloads _unless_ they are using `nvm` or similar but I don't imagine much of that either
00:06:35  <jgi>rvagg: right, we would obviously need to get data, and have a migration plan
00:22:37  <jbergstroem>i'm happy with any solution as long as someone else signs off :)
00:31:33  * jgiquit (Quit: jgi)

00:42:37  <jgi>jbergstroem: for now, let’s just consistently use gcc 4.8 for smartos binaries, and let’s build them from a machine setup with a 2014Q4 pkgsrc repo, and the lts image (base 14.4.2 I think)
00:42:47  <jbergstroem>jgi: done
00:42:57  <jgi>jbergstroem: thank you very much :)
00:43:06  <jbergstroem>jgi: i'll redeploy test and release machines (besides base13 for <1)
00:43:23  <jgi>excellent
00:50:48  <rmg>rvagg: I just saw the note about smoke testing the upcoming release... are the artifacts likely to be released as-is if they work?

01:02:16  <jbergstroem>rvagg: is the tar stuff even in 0.10/0.12?
01:07:14  * bnoordhuisquit (Ping timeout: 260 seconds)
01:26:02  <rvagg>rmg: yes they are
01:26:13  <rvagg>rmg: tar stuff?
01:26:18  <rvagg>err, jbergstroem: tar stuff?
01:26:38  <rvagg>rmg: I've noticed a typo on the release notes but I'm not going to let that force a redo, I'll patch after the fact
01:27:07  <jbergstroem>rvagg: generating tarballs of headers, sorry.
01:27:40  <rvagg>jbergstroem: yeah
01:28:57  <jbergstroem>urg, looked at wrong branch

02:14:04  <rmg>rvagg: close enough that I can just drop them in to my CI and see how they fare, then... I'll see if I can get that done soon
02:15:46  <rvagg>rmg: yeah, go for it, these are going out
02:19:55  <rmg>rvagg: are there still standalone node.exe and node.lib files for win-x64?
02:20:05  <rvagg>rmg: yes
02:20:14  <rvagg>follow the links for the windows slaves and you should find them
02:23:41  <rmg>hm.. only seeing an msi and wixpdb
02:26:38  <rmg>the workspace has a Release/node.exe and Release/node.lib, but those are just from whatever the last build was
02:29:55  <rvagg>rmg: oh, they are not uploaded to jenkins then .. just to staging on the server
02:29:59  <rvagg>so you can't 'av 'em just yet
02:30:13  <rmg>ah, ok
02:30:49  <rmg>that's where the source tarballs are, too, I'm guessing
02:33:02  * chorrelljoined
02:37:37  <rvagg>rmg: https://nodejs.org/dist/v4.2.3/
02:37:50  <rvagg>source tarballs are available on jenkins, under the osx pkg slave
02:37:56  <rmg>ah
02:43:30  <michael___>#jbergstroem iojs-softlayer-benchmark is ofline
02:43:45  <jbergstroem>michael___: yeah, so it seems
02:43:49  <jbergstroem>i haven't touched it
02:43:51  <michael___>I checked and restarted the agent on the machine
02:44:03  <michael___>so I'm wondering if its an ip issue again
02:44:14  <jbergstroem>i will check
02:44:17  <jbergstroem>lots of ssh agents
02:45:15  <jbergstroem>michael___: wrong path in init script
02:45:20  <jbergstroem>fixed, will review iptables as well
02:46:02  <michael___>thanks
02:46:10  <jbergstroem>done and back online.
02:47:33  <jbergstroem>i have an upstart script on the way for ubuntu14 which handles monitoring/respawns
02:47:59  <michael___>that will be good, so no need to run start.sh after reboot/restart
02:48:20  <jbergstroem>no. i think start.sh is gone pretty much everywhere besides ubuntu and the rasbian stuff
02:49:38  <jbergstroem>starefossen: any updates on the mailout? pretty sure we still have an issue
02:50:01  <michael___>I think so unless it was fixed since Dec 1 as I did not get an email about the benchmarking machine
02:50:20  * trottjoined
02:50:35  <jbergstroem>we'll see if we get an email about online status soon then

20:50:41  <starefossen>jbergstroem: Jenkins Monitor is working reliably since the CI went public agin. I just realized that the session cookie Jenkins Monitor used when the CI was locked down expired after one hour. I could not use API tokens since there is an issue using them with the OpenID Plugin: https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-20248
21:49:05  <jbergstroem>starefossen: if you're using your credentials, try your github token instead. i've been tinkering with the api and had stuff working that way
